Welcome to Cessnock High School

Cessnock High School was established on the Aberdare Road site in 1937. It has provided quality education for children from the former coalfields (the Cessnock Local Government Area) for seventy years. In this time, the Cessnock area has grown and two other public high schools have been established. Cessnock High School continues the tradition of providing a fine public education and espousing its values of excellence, fairness, tolerance, and democracy.
